Senior Construction Estimator

Job Type: Full-Time (Exempt)

Salary: $110,000 - $175,000

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Office: Burnt Hills NY or Springfield MA


Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates from construction drawings and specs
  • Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and estimate development
  • Assemble and submit bids (GMP, Cost Plus, etc.)
  • Communicate scopes, bids, and project details to clients and teams
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and consultants
  • Analyze and level subcontractor proposals against scope requirements
  • Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce costs
  • Ensure complete scope coverage and eliminate gaps/overlaps
  • Support post-bid activities and finalize subcontract scopes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree + 2+ years' estimating experience (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and project scopes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex tasks
  • Physical ability to perform job duties (including occasional lifting up to 25 lbs)
  • Must have federal contract experience.
